transfer speeds

when I copy a file in vista, you can see the speed at which it's coping, i get about 20mb/s copying a file onto the same disk parition, is that slow? feels slow to me

Not really. You have to read and write to the same disk.

vista is bit slower then xp but when you copy files on the same disk 20mb/s ain't too bad

yeah, apparently some settings in bios was keeping me back, i now get 40mb/s

40mb/s is exceptionally good. I've seen much slower. 20 is around average for same disc reading/writing from what I can tell on Vista.
