Transfer OS and apps to another HDD

Im not sure if this is where I need to post, but here goes.

My dad has an old computer that has some programs that he needs, but doesnt have the original disk anymore. I was wondering if there was a way to transfer the whole disk to another new hard drive cause he has about 478mb left.
Thanks to anyone who can help.
 
PQDC works pretty well, and it's cheap. Partition Magic works very well, but it's not as cheap. You could also Ghost it if you have two machines.
 
Norton Ghost works exceptionally well if... you had the 2 PCs like HTPC said.
 
Suprnova like site -> Norton Ghost 2003 -> Ghost Advanced -> Clone
 
Its only one pc. Tried to convince him to upgrade, but hes stuborn like that :rolleyes:

uhh... you don't need 2 PCs to use ghost. It's perfectly capable of transfering data between HDDs on the same system.
