edit: i will not be doing ectreme OCing, i might up the proc like .2ghz not much if anything

Not sure of your budget, or if you plan on OCing but . . .

I would switch the:

Antec powersupply, for the OCZ Powerstream 520w SLi - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817711002

ASUS for the DFI Expert (If OCing) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813136166

Opty 148 to a Dual Core X2 or DC Opty- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103562 OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103586

You might also want to switch the RAM if you plan on OCing. However, it's not THAT big of a deal.

Otherwise, you seem to be in good shape!

you only quoted the antec. Should I go with that? (oc opty 165, 2x 7900gt, 2x 74 raptor, dfi ultra d, lots of fans, leds, upgradability to quad core)

Don't fire off a bunch of "No's" if you don't even know if he's OCing yet. The expert is simply a MUCH better board.,PERIOD.

From all the non-biased research I've done, the Expert is said to be one of the/if not the BEST s939 board out right now, though I'm sure it does have a few quirks.

This same idea applies for the powerstream. Never had the Antec, don't know how stable it is. But I DO have the powerstream, and this baby is SUPER stable, SUPER quiet, and SUPER powerful. It's simply SUPER! :p

i think you said super 4 too many times.

:)

By the way, what's your budget? That would definitely help figuring out your best configuration.

The OCZ PowerStream 520w is one of the best power supplies on the market. There aren't many PSU's that can compete with it in that price range. Its efficient, quiet, and provides very stable power. If your getting the DFI board then definitely go with the OCZ PowerStream because that is the PSU you will have recommended to you on the dfi-street forums. It has a 5 year warranty as well.

The Antec NeoHE series has got OEM'd Seasonic guts, is quiet, and is modular. Superior to OCZ any day of the week.

To the OP: I would go ASUS even if you are overclocking. The A8N32-SLI is only $30 more than a DFI board (which I wouldn't touch to begin with), and it has an 8-phase power system which will dramatically help your overclock. It also has the full 16x PCIe slots, which won't help you now but will be a good thing to have as the Physics-on-video technology evolves.

The Seasonic power supplies have shown issues with the DFI NF4 boards and i doubt that its superior to the OCZ anyways. Modular cables present further resistance and PC Power and Cooling have said themselves that that is why they dont recommend PSU's with modular cables. OCZ also has some of the best tech support you'll find, far better then Antec, and you'll get a replacement quickly if you have any problems. The Powerstream has tight voltage regulation, higher efficiency rating then PCP&C, and provides an ample amount of power with a single 12V+ rail with 33A.

Well then it's a very good thing the OP isn't going DFI ;)

dfi motherboard is complicated (unless you've been around computers for a while...i haven't) i wish i got the premium :( i got the regular sli and putting on a new heatsink to replace the noisy fan was scary (and doesn't cool as well as the heatpipe)

personally, i wouldn't get a 7900gt but that's your choice.

go down to a 165. the 170 costs a lot more for no real performance gain. they will overclock about the same (assuming you're overclocking)

good memory choice.

personally, i would get a seasonic power supply. i like silence :) i think the voltages are slightly better with a seasonic too.
