Jeez I'm seeing alot of ugly units lately. P6990 on my X6 - 4.0 GHz is 9:49 TPF. All my other boxen are getting quite a few ugly GPU and SMP units as well. My PPD has almost been halved for several days. A few EUE's and a blue screen or two as well. This is turning into alot of WORK to keep the farm running smoothly. I'm going to need more BEER to keep me running smoothly ...

and tamales

Nothing like chewy SMP units to expose what you thought was a good overclock.

luckily I have not received a 6990, *knock on wood* ...

I'll second that. I'd fold bigadvs w/o a problem and then along comes a WU that would cause a BSOD and force me to use more vcore.

PPD is 2313 with TPF now down to 13:08. The BSOD's have been on my C2Q6600 which has been OCed to 3.2 GHz @ 1600 FSB since I built that rig in Nov 2007. It has run 24/7/365 at that speed no problemo, at first chewing on 4 x CPU units then switched over to SMP units last summer. It has been supporting 2 GPU's since last autumn when I decided to add a PhsyX card and of course another folding GPU2 client as well. These 2 GPU's seem to get alot of the "chewy" GPU2 units as well, frequently <500 PPD. The GTX260 has been getting the majority of the EUE's. The GPU3 clients don't get as many chewy units it seems. All the boxen in my sig are folding, the only thing in the list NOT folding is the HD5830 and the student rig is only folding 2 x CPU units and is shut off overnight(s). I was getting 50-60K PPD until recently, now 35-40K for a few days. I don't have any tamales and although Vancouver has alot of ethnic foods I don't know where to get a good tamale. I have been grilling some Johnsonville Brats and Scneider smokies on my BBQ to go with my beer as I take in the NHL playoffs though. Go Canucks Go ... :D

2.3k ppd on a 1090T ..... something is up with that unit...

shame the oilers didnt do so well this last season ;( or they would be taking down your canucks

just got a 6994 , not sure if its related, but at 4:30 TPF on my 1090T @4.0 ....

No I don't think it is. My 1090T now has a TPF of 4:24 on an GRO-A4 unit and 8600PPD. None of my boxen have picked up a 6990 for awhile (crossing fingers) and I'm up to 45K+ PPD now. C2Q6600 hasn't BSOD'd on me since I blew all the dust out of the Zalman 9700 (D-oh!), guess I forgot for awhile as it was jammed in a corner under my workbench and has been relocated. I don't know if they've adjusted the PPD values of the GPU units or if I'm just getting a heavy dose of chewy units but none of my GPU's are getting anywhere close to what they usually do. 680x units are tough.
