Hello,
I have a litle problem with establishing connection.
In the first building (behind the window) there is a TP-Link Archer C7. (2,4GHz internal antenna + 3x 5GHz external antennas).
In the opposite workshop (solid brick walls and a lot of solid metal cabinets and tools behind these walls) I would like to distribute wireless net there, too. The distance between buildings is about 20 meters. There is a second inner room, in this workshop. That means +1 solid brick wall. Even if I max the power on C7, the strenght and quality of distributed signal is not sufficient. I can make connection, but the quality is poor and it is not stable.
I have tried two usb external wireless adapters, but with bad results too. The first was 2,4 GHz TP-Link TL-WN722N the same results as integrated antenna in Toshiba laptop. The second was Ovislink AirLive X.USB-3 (Seller has described this one as WIN 8 supported, the producer did not! I have not checked this before, so I have another crap in the house
Laptop does not have 5GHz antenna, so 5GHz distribution was not checked.
I think first about a repeater, but after reading some materials, I think its not good idea. I have an brand new AirGrid M5 antenna(5GHz). I would like to know wether, it is not a bad idea, to solve my problem with using this one ? This means to mount the antena on workshop (catch the signal via 5GHz from the C7 router), and use another router connected with antena, which would distribute the 2,4GHz signal inwards the workshop ??
I worry about the strenght of this antena I do not want to jamm, muck, soil the area with this piece of hardware. Can you tell me your opinions on my solution ?
Any other sugestions all welcome!! (wire connection between buildings is not possible)
