I can't seem to find this card in stores for less than ~ 480-500$, should i go with a different card or just cough up the money for this incredible overclocker.

if thats your system in your sig, i would go with a 6600gt

Ya, why is that?

If your going to be playing CS and HL2, get an X800XL (If you can find one) or an XT, (pro is a good choice also)

6600gt is a better match for a 2.8 than the x800 series.

right now im on a 9800xt/2.8 system, and i would much rather have an a64 3000+ and a 6600gt than keep my 2.8 and get an x800.

The 6600GT would be the bottleneck if you got it. Dont buy a bottleneck, so get the x800 pro.

It doesnt really matter if it x800Pro be a bottleneck, the fact is he would get better performances with x800Pro then with 6600GT lol. Almost no1 has a CPU that would fully take advantage of x800Pro/x800XT/6800GT/Ultra blah blah blah..

If you can afford it, go with the X800pro. Even if your system IS a bottleneck it will still (obviously) give you alot better performance.

Get a vivo one, Just so theres a chane yyou can flashmod it to XT-PE speeds, or get an XT and OC it over X850XT-PE speeds.
