Hey guys. I'm about to build my next rig, but after alot of researching I find myself at the ATI Nvidia crossroad. I've been leaning towards either 2 X800XL GTO2's or a 7800 GTX. I can see myself being happy either way, but then I think of the R520 coming and again, I am stumped.

Any words of wisdom?

Uh I don't know if they even make a crossfire version of the x800xl yet. Plus you will probably need to get a more expensive card to run crossfire thats definitely not worth it. Get a 7800gtx you will be happy. :)
 
Crossfire does not exist in the retail market yet and it is impossible to tell when it will be, so you can't use 2x X800. You are left with one clear choice. ;)

 
Thanks for the heads up, and since I can't use 1600x1200 it looks like 7800gt. Thanks for the input guys :p
 
i fail to see why can't you wait two more days for ATI's R520 benchamarks?
