Touchscreen phone design rant...

Lately I've been looking for a portable all-in-one device. I've looked at PDA's, PVP's, PMP's, netbooks, and phones. Some of the PMP's like the new Archos 5 tablet are very tempting, but I want a camera too and phones (iPhone and such) are the only devices to incorporate all the features I want. The main issue with phones, even uber ultimate tochscreen everything and the kitchen sink phones like the upcoming Sony Xperia X1, HTC Dream, and Samsung Omnia are the crappy screens! Come on! I can buy a year old PMP with a better screen! Give me 800 x 480 16 million colors 3.5" plus. How about a decent cpu, video acceleration, and lots of RAM while your at it. I don't care if the batteries last upteen million hours or not as long as it gets me through the day. I want WiFi and the ability to view the web like I do with a desktop pc without having to view the "mobile" version of web pages like Youtube. And I want ALL commonly used video/audio formats supported, I don't want to have to convert anything to anything else to play it! I don't care if it's the slimmest device ever or not as long as it's form factor is reasonable. I want a good camera with good video with a good flash/video light. VGA at 30fps is fine. I want the software to be fully customizable, and support any IM program or e-mail I want to use. I want a GOOD WEBCAM! (almost impossible to find these days).

Grrr...I'll probably have to wait another 5yrs. Until then I might settle for just an LG KE990 Viewty or Sony Ericsson P1i.

note: The Nokia N810 actually is very close to what I want too, needs a much better camera, better cpu, more RAM.
