Hi all, I was hoping you could help me with a problem I have.

I work at a university and we have a piece of equipment which is controlled by a PC fitted with a GeForce GT620 graphics card with two attached 1080 monitors. As a result we're running two monitors from the graphics card.

Anyway, we now need a third monitor and it would be helpful if it was touchscreen. We only need it to show the same image as monitor 1. However, because the video card can't support three monitors I am considering buying a HDMI splitter (1 input 2 output) for monitor 1 and the touchscreen.

Would this work? I guess all the communication between the touchscreen and the PC are via the USB 2 lead from the monitor and that the HDMI cable plays no role in this.

I've asked the monitor manufacturer and am waiting for their advice, but in the meantime any advice you guys can give would be great.

Thanks.
