Anyone have some pointers or suggiestions concerning choice?

But what I specificly want to know is:
1. How do they work, and what extra equipment do I need, if any? To make it work.
2. A good place to get hold om some, or better yet, good place to buy with good prices. :)

Tho, any information people can bring me would be pleasent, either you have a touch screen LCD, or maybe you have set one up in your car too? :))
