Okay, had a question that Google couldn't answer so I'll ask the TP2 owners here.

How is the battery life when using it as a PMP? Specifically WMP for music and also h.264 video. Not sure about the hardware acceleration situation here, hence my question. I'm reasonably sure that using TCPMP wouldn't be very kind on battery, but that's primarily suited for the less mobile friendly formats.

I use TCPMP to listen to audio books for the specific reason I can exit out and when I re-open it I'm right where I left off automatically. I also use it literally all day every day since I'm always listening to a book (driving, waiting, working, bathroom , etc.) and on my TP (not the 2) I don't recall my battery suffering for it. In fact I was always surprised it didn't drain it more than I thought. Now video is possibly a different story, I don't know.

I'd like to note for those considering the cooked ROM path, it does require some research, planning and time, especially the first time through. The results can be nothing short of amazing. My Fuze went from being barely usable, slow, and riddled with useless AT&T crapware and bugs to being a lot slicker and quicker, while running 6.5. The improvement is truly amazing. After the basic flashing, I read through the thread (NRG rom and made a lot of the suggested post install tweaks and installed additional utilities, games, applets, etc.) So it was a decent amount of work and research to get there and this is my fifth win-mo device, so I'm no beginner.

In summary, totally worth it, but only the [H] need apply.
