If I have a sharp aquos tv, and a ps3 or hd dvd player, how to I hook up speakers and where do I plug in headphones?

Do I need a receiver? Also can I use the speakers from my stereo?

I guess your TV can output sound... But you can't use headphones with it.

You need a receiver and speakers, not your stereo speakers, I mean, real speakers.

270$ Harmon Kardon reciever + Polk Surround set 250ish = decent home theatre setup
Both can be found at frys...dont know for sure if the surround sets are still for sale (probably still is)

but some TV's have a headphone jack near the front...found on the side of my Sony 46"
