Toslink vs Coaxial

Just curious really what you guys prefer. I've read that a good RG6 coax cable is as good as a toslink cable but was simply curious if any of you had experienced anything different or had a prefence based on sound quality or levels.
 
From a quality standpoint, I don't think there is a difference. Bits is Bits.

However, in every case I've ever used Coaxial, I've noted a slight delay between sound output is started, and when it's actually heard.

For example, on a DVD, the DVD picture starts, and instead of the sound starting right away there's a 1/2 to 1 sec delay before the sound comes in. It's not out of sync, it just doesn't start right away.
