Toshiba Satelite A60 Graphic Problem

Hey there,

wonderin if any of you guys can help here:

friend of mine has a Toshiba Satelite A60 Laptop with the following specs:

Mobile Pentium 4 3.06GHz
512MB Memory
ATI Mobility Radeon 7000 IGP - 64MB

- Software -

Windows XP Home SP2 - all up to date.

The problem he is having is with the graphics driver : ati2dvag.dll

The error causes the screen to change resolution, blue screen's and generally crazy colour's going on.

Has anyone got any suggestions/solutions that i can try? I have tried the ATI website but cannot find a suitable repalcement drvier. Numerous other forums have suggested that the problem may be caused by SP2? any dieas?

Which A60 does he have? The A60 series had some issues with video at post that was solved by version 1.5 or something. Also some of them had bios isses with blue screens that was fixed after 1.8C or D. I can't remember off the top of my head. I would upgrade to the newest bios and remove the video drivers and install the newest ones off toshiba's site.
