Hi, I have the Toshiba Satellite A105-S1712 and have had it for a year and 4 months. It just recently went out of warranty. I lost my hard drive. I was wanting to upgrade my computer in anyway possibe. I was thinking about getting getting 2gig of ram which I hvae 512 now and I currently have the Intel Celeron M 1.6ghz and I found this processor on a site Intel Pentium 4 (Mobile) 2.0 GHz, 512KB cache, 400MHz FSB and I e-mailed them to see if it would fit and this was the response:

Intel Yonah based Celeron M Processor (533MHz)
410(1.46G)
420(1.60G) - probably what you have now
430(1.73G)
Intel Yonah based Core Solo Processor (667MHz)

T1400(1.83G)
Intel Yonah based Core Duo Processor (667MHz)
T2300(1.66G)
T2400(1.83G)
T2500(2.00G)
T2600(2.16G)
T2700(2.33G)
We don't have any of these chips in stock at this time, but this information
should help you in general.
You may also need to upgrade your memory from 533MHz to 667MHz, otherwise
your system may either work slower or not work at all.
What is the intel Yonah based processor? and does anyone know if one of these would work. I plan on getting a new harddrive and depending on the processor upgrade, I might look into getting a tablet pc. If anyone knows if one of these processors would work and tell me the difference in the processor I have now and any of those listed. I really appreciate anyone who would take their time to read this and help me. Thank you so much.
