Toshiba Hard drives

I'm sure a lot of you who do work on computers have come across laptops with toshiba hard drives in them. And of course that means you come across bad harddrives as well. Besides the drives that are just cooked what Hard drive diagnostic do you use?

I have been using the ultimate boot cd and using the IBM one and the Maxtor one

Any other suggestions?
