Torn Between Asus or BenQ

So, here's the deal. I'm looking to upgrade my monitors as a birthday present to myself since most people in my family aren't very tech savvy and wouldn't know what to look for. I currently have:

2x Acer G235HAbd 24", 5ms, 60Hz, 1920x1080

They work well enough and aren't terrible by any means especially since I picked them up for $130 each at the time.

I have been doing some looking around lately and I'd like to stick to the 24" size but would like to upgrade to a good quality 120Hz monitor and let the real beauty of games come to life. I don't need or want anything higher than 1920x1080 as that ends up costing more money than I want to spend. I don't plan on doing anything 3D with these monitors as I'm not really a huge fan of 3D gaming or movies. I just like the better image quality provided by a monitor running at 120Hz since there's not as much ghosting.

I'm torn between buying two Asus VG248QE($250.52) or BenQ XL2420T($299.00).

I've read good and bad things about both but wanted to ask here. Which one would you buy for the better gaming experience? Maybe there's a few of you out there who have tried both and like one over the other. What are your reasons for that?

Right now I'm favoring the Asus monitor due to cost. It has what I want but generally there is a reason for that kind of cost difference in that it is lacking in other areas or the BenQ is just feature bloated which drives up the price.

I guess I'm just paranoid but I want to know I'm buying a product I will be happy with so I figured I'd ask in the place that has never steered me in the wrong direction before. I'm also open to other brands as well, doesn't have to be Asus or BenQ as long as the price isn't outrageous for a similar feature set.
