Here’s a weird one for you guys. Some company is suing Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft for supposedly infringing on a joystick port patent. The company has a history of big multi-party lawsuits that, so far, have been rather unsuccessful.

Another day, another lawsuit. This one comes from Fenner Investments, a Texas-based corporation which on Friday January 5th sued Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo, alleging the companies were infringing on a patent for a low-voltage joystick port interface.

I hope they win and make all 3 of the console makers shut down! MWHAHAHA...that would suck :(
 
todays societ, screw working for a living, let patent a product we oure selves have NEVER made, and then just sue comapnies that have been using said similar idea for the last 20 years.

It's not possible anymore, patent laws now state that you have to have a working model or concept when you file your patent.
 
wicked, that should kill off the million law suits that tried to happen in 2006, was like a mad frenzy!
 
It would be cool if Atari/Nolan Bushnell/Some Old Skool Dude rolled up and bent these guys over for some prior art lovin. Last time I checked my 2600 had a low voltage joystick port and it's been almost 30 (will be 30 in October) years since that thing came out.
 
Maybe, just maybe MS, Nintendo and Sony team up to take this frivolous lawsuit down. Man this company sure has a itchy suing finger and doesn't get it - if you lose X times, give up already! :rolleyes:

But it also takes some kind of intelligence to know you are going to lose. These guys are just stupid and lazy.
