Can you guys list them?

By 'top' I mean absolute best quality, regardless of price! ...like how pcpowerandcooling is the best PSU maker, but most can't afford it. Are there then top case makers that enjoy the same prestige among their peers?

Above even Lian Li and Cooler Master : SilverStone.

LOL.

It seems with every computer component you have the top brands that everyone knows about, and then there are always the 'secret 1337 brands' like these that are really 'the next level', but you never hear about them except in threads like this.

For example, I never heard of 'pcpowerandcooling' until I saw that PSU thread, they aren't even sold on NewEgg.

well, IMO any enthusiast will know PC P&C. There will always be the absolutely top tier companies that do not cut any corners but with that (and their reputation) they can charge top dollar for their products, and many people won't be interested in buying them. Silverstone's pretty new so it's not a big deal they're unheard of. I think they branched off coolermaster and went and did their own thing. Without much name brand recognition though, they're already pretty pricy cases O_O

I also say Cooler Master, Lian Li, Antec...

Accept no substitutes, but it's my 2 cents.

Coolermaster---rock solid aluminum cases that are built like tanks, very nice to work in, long as you buy one big enough for your needs.

Antec---Good value, interesting, sometimes innovative designs, attention to details that most other manufacturers miss, or don't care about.

Trying to think of other cases I've owned. Nothing recently, used to buy inwin a looooong time ago, just because they were very good for relatively 'cheap' cases.

hrmm... I was getting ready to buy this lian-li case
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-112-040&depa=0

but seeing all these other brands, makes me wonder if theres something better for the price?
I like that lian-li case and its $115...
anyone know of something thats that price or less that would work better? (sorry, don't mean to take over the thread just wondering since all these names i haven't heard of are popping up)

I've never once regretted buying my PC-60 (the 6x series differences are minor), and would recommend it to anyone.

That said, I'm another vote for Lian-li or Coolermaster. The Antec/Chemning clones are nice cases for the money, one of my servers is one of the Cheming Matrix cases with a few mods and I am very happy with it. Any of these would be a good buy.

1) Lian-Li
2) CoolerMaster
3) Kingwin or Antec

You may a premium for the first two because their quality is the best. Kingwin and Antec make cheaper cases but have some good designs.

it kinda depends on your needs, Im a fan of full towers, so i have to put Inwin up at the top, 3 foot tall can be used as jack stands in a pinch great for modding, look bad assed in black.

I like antec (though biased b/c they guy next door works for them, so a lanboy for $40 makes it look like a better case to me) they do try to do new things and work around what people want, but sometimes they just dont get it.

i dont know who i would put above invin since those are the only cases ive worked with that i liked and i havent spend more than $60 on a case ever so you have my #2, and #3 slots and #1 is left open for the holygrail of cases that has yet to be seen by me

I like Lain-Li and Cooler Master the best, but Kingwin Inc. and Antec also make good cases.
