I am now a member of this elite group but it is rough, the last 4-5 slots seems to be a constant battle for a spot, going to have to sell my old iPhone and add a 9800GX2 to CRUSHER!:D
 
I found getting and staying in the top 20 PpD to be [H]ard.
Its only since the SMP and mainly the GPU clients have come out that my PpD has sky rocketed.
My PpD is up around 1600%, my power used is up by 50%.
Now I'm fighting for the top 2 space.

Where can the top 20 list be seen? I have only been able to find the top 10 ppd lists.
Edit: Nevermind I found it as soon as I opened my eyes...
 
I enjoy my spot in the top 20. I fluctuate around from 18 to 22. I gots more D coming though, so it will soon be above 20 all the time.
 
The grass keeps getting taller. What got ya into the top 20 just 4 months ago no longer cuts it. I think that will continue with cheap GPUs, and quads becoming so prevalent.

My goal is to stay in the top 20. I took a dip recently because of farm stability issues and my #$%#$ DSL spazzing out.

I shall regain my seat shortly.

 
The top 20 is my home and I will do anything to get kicked out. At least, I'm sharing some nice beer with Kendrak's wife as we are next door.

Yes, until the 'next big thing' comes along, whatever and whenever that will be. In the past, the biggest folders were farmers who worked as admins and had access to a vast array of computers. Now, anyone with a few recent video cards can produce as much as a large farm in the past. This has never been seen in the DC world, not even when Stanford released its first, ill-fated GPU client a couple of years ago. The advent of the nVidia client changed everything in the DC landscape and until admins have access to an equivalent source of raw computing power, the top 20 of most teams will be dominated by home-grown GPU farms for the foreseeable future.

 
WTF AMD_Gamer. Just make sure you gots plenty of "bug juice" and plenty of "bug spray" for the tall grass. (you get plenty thirsty "poopin' and snoopin'" and sprayin' for them bugs :p)

I like seeing that it is home grown farmers that is taking the lead. I hope to make it there someday, but for now am satisfied with being in the top 100.

Planning a winter come back eh? Good, I was getting worried that you were going to make it too easy for me mow you down. I'm still just a distant spec in your rear view mirror but I am getting closer and faster every day.



 
I remember being on the first page(top 100) in ppd a few months ago right after I started folding. Then things went nutz and I am now 300th in ppd.

 
Just go out and get you a 8800GS or 9600GSO and you'll about triple your output! I did just that, but I got several :)
