Top 2 Video cards?

the x850xt-pe and the 6800 ultra.

do us all a favor and just go to ati and nvidia's sites and look it up next time

Nvidia - Geforce 6800Ultra PCIe

ATI - X850 XT Platinum Edition PCIe

PCIe vs AGP doesn't really make a difference. But since the x850 is PCIe only...

Actually the top nVidia card is the 6800 Ultra Extreme Edition. Apparently people have actually been able to buy them lately...

if 6800 ultra is nividia's top...why do i see all these reviews comparing x800 pro with ultra?

to show how badly the 6800Ultra stomps the X800 pro....
the comprable card to the X800 pro is the 6800 Non Ultra

No, those were officially discontinued 4-5 months ago or something. NVIDIA changed its mind on the product and said it was up to individual companies to offer. EVGA sent out the preorders and few more, then that was it. Waterblock BFG 6800 Ultra OCs (very available now... at $599 :p) and not the same as the Ultra Extreme.

no.... Comperable in PERFOMRNACE, not price...
the 6800GT stomps the X800 Pro in the ground.

Actually, you can get the UEE card from evga (that is their product name). nVidia apparently dropped the spec, but offered the speed binned chips only to a few select vendors. Gainward, XFX, evga, and BFG were selected. They don't all call it an "Ultra Extreme", but they use the chips in their cards that go past 450 on the core.

Here is the current spec:

I second that. I've had both and the X800Pro gets whipped in everything by the 6800GT They may be the same price, but not the same performance.

what the hell? so you guys are saying 6800gt is better than x800 pro? some dood told me x800 is better...

yes the 6800GT is defenatly a better performer the X800 Pro in all aspects....
you do realize the X800 Pro is only 12 pixel pipelines (same as 6800 non ultra) and the 6800GT/Ultra are both 16 pipes...

i would say as a single graphics card... taking into consideration performance only (not considering visual quality) the best cards from slowest to fastest should be

X800se
6800nu
X800pro
6800GT
X800XT
6800Ultra
X850
X800PE
X850PE
