I'm at the low end of the top 10 PPD, but I'm happy to kick off the thread.

Here's what I'm folding with:

There you go Lundrog!

I should have added that all these are in a hosting center and dedicated to FAH, with the exception of one that runs HFM.net and Apache for monitoring. All the GPU rigs were pieced together from ebay with the exception of PSUs. Gots to have lotsa power. The BA had the CPUs from ebay and the rest new, as there simply weren't any used available.

Cool guy's, thanks!

I'm a server guy, hence my interest. Not sure I have the budget for one of those AMD systems...

you buy them new, used?

Where do you guy's run them, at home, private lab? ( hosted ) ?

I'm in and out of top 10 nowdays But an upgrade may get me a bit higher.
Im running one i7 w/ gtx 660ti as my everyday work box plus 2 servers in my sig.
all in my house

I run 3 almost identical machines:

SuperMicro 4p G34 (2 Gi's 1 GL)
4 x 6180SE
16 x 2GB memory
1200W 80+ Gold PSU (1 OCZ, 1 Seasonic, and 1 Corsair)
Either 4 x CM 212+ (2 machines) or 4 x Sunbeam CCF (1 machine)
16GB or 32GB ssd

All are mounted to pieces of plywood fitted into a Compaq 8000 42U server rack sitting in my basement. Additional airflow is provided by a standard 20" box fan. 2 systems run at 2.8 GHz and one runs at 2.7 GHz. Each machine pulls 800W - 850W.

These have been my mainstay for the last year or so. They are extremely stable and require almost 0 maintenance.

Is that all you have? I guess not :D ...

Folding HW in my SIG.
But if you want to really see where my folding "power" comes from, I'll show you my near empty bank account and monthly electric bill.

I am pretty much like Musky,

4 - SuperMicro 4p G34 (3 Gi's 1 GL) @ 3Ghz
4 - 61xx MC CPU's
16 x 2GB memory 2 - 1600Mhz, 2 - 1333Mhz
2 - 1200W 80+ Gold PSU (1 OCZ, 1 Corsair)
2 - 1400W Redundant
Anywhere from 1080W to 1180W per rig
4 x CM 212+
1 - 980X @ 4.4Ghz Linux SMP
1 - 980X @ 4.3Ghz 2 - GTX 580 Windows SMP, GPU
1 - 2700k @ 4.6Ghz 1 - GTX 580, 1 - GTX 460 Windows SMP, GPU
I have a few more sitting on the side lines waiting for the GPU QRB to see what path I will take then.

Is that all you have? I guess not :D ...

I may run a GPU or two from time to time and I think I still have an I7 930 borg going, but that is all I have that runs constantly.

Man, I'm doin' this RONG!

I need heftier cpus I think

1 4X6172
1 4X6170
1 4X6166HE
1 4X6166HE
1 2X6274
1 2X6274

All stock Speeds

1 4X6266?HE-ES @ 2.6Ghz

Can't wait for spicy piledrivers to hit the scene.

All the 4p's are SM (mix of GL's and Gi's).
The 2P's are ASUS (I love these boards).

I once took a half hearted stab at OCNG. Wasn't real successfull. HT retries and odd reboots with BIOS error messages on reboot. Power supplies are fine (mostly HX 1000's). Tear and I spent some time trying to troubleshoot, but couldn't figure out why. I felt bad for wasting his time, so I gave up.

dwdawg's rigs are a very weird case* (long story)... I'm not sure if OCNG4 (even with alternative HT tuning)
will fly very high...

*) to the extent of wanting to see/work with them in person :-o

Weird is my middle name.

I should probably try it on the 2 6166he rigs at the very least. I don't think I've messed with those two yet.

Sounds good. Let know how it goes and feel free to sync on IRC.
Our operators are standing by.

Let's see:

4 x 6166HE @ 2.2ghz
4 x 6172
4 x 6180SE
2 x 6272

2 x E5-2660
2 x E5-2660
2 x E5-2620
2 x E5-2643

3 x 560Ti 448 core

Plus a few other random boxes that don't add much to my ppd.

Didn't know 8102s are still available :D

May I ask if any of you use your "servers" for anything else beside F@H? The dedication (and budget) you guys offer up for this cause is tremendous.

My folding boxes do nothing but fold. I have a little non-folding junk server (Athlon II X2) that handles my file server, web server, and a few other duties that actually need a server.

mine's just gather dust in the corner when not folding...what a waste..:(

Wait a minuet there are other uses for computers other that F@H. Hmmm I will have to think about that.

O-yeah I use them for heaters. :D

Fantastic to see your gear guys.

I bought a slightly used GTX 680 Classified today to add to my rig... ha not that it will add much..

My two servers are folding only

Next week the 6166HE box is going down to upgrade to 6180's

Okay, I bumped the four up 20% (240). We'll see if that makes a difference. Bumped the bulldozers up 100 MHz as well (200 made it reboot after a little folding).

It they are stable, I'll try another 5 on the clock.

Tear, the GL's gave me no issues. The two Gi's we looked at are still odd, I think I'll keep an eye out for spicy procs for those.

This should be interesting.

Roar!

When you say that Gi's are still odd -- is the same thing as before, meaning: HT-retries with
OCNG even without OC?

Did you consider bumping volts on the Bulldozers? What is the output of sudo TurionPowerControl -l on that system?

Yes, HT retries stock and with OCNG. I have the bulldozers at 1.175. They are the A0 (GG43) version, so that may be all I get out of them. Not unhappy at all. So far, everything is stable. The power meter is spinning so fast it looks like a DVD in the sun :D

BTW, one of the Gi's boots with an MCT error. I don't know what that is. I hit F1 to continue and it seems to fold fine. It could be a hair faster, but the performance impact is small.

We need a web page with live server stats for these boxes be great!

Gotcha.

Running A0s stock is already a challenge so seeing them with an OC is impressive.

Not sure about where MCT error could have come from (MCT is the memory controller
in the northbridge -- but it doesn't hook directly with RAM like DCT)...

Out of curiosity what does sudo TurionPowerControl -dram return on the system w/MCT error? Does grep MemTotal /sys/devices/system/node/node[0-9]*/meminfo report all the memory?

Looks like you're set up optimally :D

Took a nap and the bulldozers rebooted. Back to 2600. They were stable there for a week.

Yep, all memory shows up:
tony@outhouse:~$ grep MemTotal /sys/devices/system/node/node[0-9]*/meminfo
/sys/devices/system/node/node0/meminfo:Node 0 MemTotal: 4192248 kB
