Tools to open hard drives

Does anyone know the types or names of tools needed to open most hard drives. I have many dead hd's from my job and want to open them up but most have screws that are more like a star shape, not hex though. I've never seen a tool with a star shaped bit, does anyone know where I can get them?

those are quite common for electronics. You should be able to get them at any local hardware store or electronic store. The insides of a hard drive is pretty cool. Keep the magnents inside, they are good to hold your extra screws that you get when you buy computer hardware.

DONT DO THAT! i did that before and omg almost died. That thing will blind you! my friend made a clock out of it. pretty cool.
 
I just use the little star tipped bits for my screw driver and sometimes the Torx ones. :)
 
you could thread a platinum chain through one and wear it around your neck. When someone asks wtf it is, just be like "This is 5g(B), biotch!" and slap their hoe face with it.

i got pulled over for doing exactly that, i guess i was blinding the cop behind me. all i got was a warning for it
