Toolbar editing for the [H]

I am asking you guys to help me with a burning question. I have computers available to me to be able to install the Google toolbar. I can't directly install the F@H program. The Google compute toolbar is allowed also.

I am wondering if I can use the toolbar with the compute feature to fold for the [H]orde.

I searched the Google Labs terms of use policy and found:

Accordingly, you agree that you will not copy, reproduce, alter, modify, create derivative works, or publicly display any content (except for your own personal, non-commercial use) from the Site.

I have seen other teams produce the "modifications" to the toolbar to allow it to work for their team instead of Google. I have gotten lots of requests for the toolbar with the compute feature becuase people generally want to help, and don't really care which team they are on.

So, Should I do it?

Do it! I'm not sure if you can use it to fold for the [H]orde, but some code-sharking by someone could, and even if noone can, they're still folding.
Also, a note if someone can shark the code enough to make them fold for the [H] - The compute toolbar runs TT's, as far as I can tell, as I ran it for a bit to see what it was up to and it turned in two units for a total of 88 points. I believe the only things that run that low are TT's, but someone come and prove me wrong >.>

This was discussed once before and I distinctly remember going over the acceptable use policy only to find that modifying to fold for you was completely legal.

I'll look around and see if I can find the thread... though it's been a while.

I tried to do this before, went to the config file and edited it, but it kept going back to the default settings. Well it irked me something fierce each time I edited it and it defaulted back to the original settings.

I will do it sooner than most of you, Thank goodness someone found a link, now I can do it properly.

Actually, there are numberous Gromac projects whose point values are in the 30's. Projects 1603 and 1604, for example, are 33 and 32 points respectively. Although there is a 10 point non-timeless Tinker core one, project 1153. Find the list of the point values here

I am glad that this subject has been discussed already and a positive answer has come of it.

Thanks all,

Thanks all,

Didn't mean to imply that since it was a question that was posed before it shouldn't have been asked.... sorry if I came off that way. :)
I was just excited that a question was asked and I knew the answer for once so I started looking..... then gigabyte came along and burst my bubble. :p

Hope it works out for you!

i don't remember the conclusion on this...

does the toolbar fold full-time, or only when the toolbar is visible? (i.e. IE is open)
mwhahaha

From the FAQ -

Code:
3. Does it continue to work even when my browser is closed?

Yes, the Google Compute feature continues to work even
when your browser is closed.
