My current setup has maybe 1/5th of it as antifreeze and theres about gallon & a 1/4th in it. could it be hurting the proformance? any suggestions on a solution to use would be great.

Antifreeze is not a good solution to use. Distilled water would be one of the best liquids to use.

I've heard anti-freeze leaves nasty deposits....... You might want to steer away from that stuff. I got a big ole tub that's going to waste.

Antifreeze works fine as an additive. Never had a problem with it. I usually use 90 parts water and 10 parts antifreeze. If you're worried about your temps just drain it and refill with less antifreeze.

The norm for additive into distilled water is 1 part additive : 20 parts water.

1:20 is always a good ratio to use.

I have been using 15% Prestone and 85% Distilled water for over a year in my Koolance. No deposits or discoloration in the system.
