Hello,
I got a problem with two video cards... Last year while I was playing to Oblivion and both of my PSU (Corsair HX750) and my video card crashed down because of the dust on my fans which didn't work well enough or not anymore sometimes... So I had to replace them but now I start having the same matter again cause sometimes I can see that the computer is slowing down while playing games like GTV and the fan of my new video card doesn't work anymore sometimes too. So I have to stop playing and to turn my computer off to clean it with compressed air can. When I restart it, it works pretty well but I don't wanna have to do it everytime, then what should I do?

A picture of the inside of your pc would help alot. They make filer covers for fans that you might want to look into. I personally don't like them cause they restrict air flow.

Ideally you want more exhast fans then in. that's what they call negative air flow and that won't attack dust in your case.. but how does one still make sure everything runs cool? Got me..

A pic of your case to see how the air flow is routing would help.

Back when I would routinely clean the inside of the pc every 3 months. That's fan blades and all. Vacuum everything carefully as you don't want to break anything.

Most prob do it twice a year.

Sounds like you need some air cleaners in your home.

Do you have pets? Smoke? Live in the desert? All terrible things for PCs.

Also, if you're using compressed air, you should have an air cleaner or vacuum nearby to actually suck up the dust that you're blasting around the room.
Generally just put in more effort to keep your place as clean as possible and your PC will need less frequent cleaning.

Unfortunately humans are disgusting and dusty though, so there's never enough you can do to stop it.

Some (most?) GTX 970's have some variation of 0db mode where the fan turns off completely if it isn't above a certain temperature AKA no load / you're not stressing the card. So the fan on your card not spinning is normal.

This topic is relevant to dust but negative pressure will draw dust in actually. Think of it as lower pressure like a vacuum as opposed to positive pressure blowing out through the cracks. Too much exhaust will draw air/dust in through gaps where you have no filters and too much intake can just hold hot air in the case. Visualizing it as if it were liquid instead of air might help you wrap your brain around it. And using a vacuum is apparently debated but I don't do it :/

Guess I can't get it right.. last time I said more in then out and I got yelled at the same.

you always have to maintain a positive pressure in your system. it's much better for airflow and it keeps dust out.

so more in than out. blowing requires a lot less energy than sucking, so naturally if more air is going in than out, it'll be more efficient.

I agree with SolidSnake3035, as he said you should get an air cleaner that you can place just near your PC tower. Your problem never happened to me but mine catch all the dust and I don't need to clean it anymore, you should use it too

Yes I have 3 cats and I don't live in a desert but there is a new construction site near to my place and they make a lot of noise and dust everyday... Do you use an air purifier?
