So I was quite excited when I was able to overclock the memory of my PNY GTX1070FE to 1.5 ghz and getting a little over 32mhs.

But after a couple of days a noticed gpu errors on claymore and the windows log showed Event ID 4101 which means a driver reset.
So I downcloked to 1.4 then 1.3, 1.2 and it would run for hours every time but ultimately fail. I resorted to leave it at stock and apparently its fine now.

Any tips on how to make it more stable when overclocked?

Assuming by 1.5GHz, that means 12GHz effective rate, I'm shocked the screen didn't immediately lock-up/artifact.

Stock is 8008MHz. My EVGA 1070's were able to do 9200MHz reliably, and they were getting around 31Mh/s I think around there at something like 80-85% power limit. Its been a while since i had them, but I'll have a few more 1070s this week to play with again.

I'm running an MSI Armor 1070 at 2.3 (9.2) with zero issues.
Power limit 65%
Core Clock -100
Memory Clock +600
For some reason I cannot get voltage control working w/ the card. I'd like to drop it a bit and check stability just to minimize power/temps. My house is a bit hot so I'm hitting:
75C @ 58% TDP 29.9Mh/s
or
78C @ 67% TDP 29.2Mh/s (+290Mh/s on SiaCoin)

There is also a 770gtx 4gb sitting in the far slot of the box which is:
78C @ 63% TDP 10.2Mh/s (+96.5Mh/s on SiaCoin) - Default clock, +300memory

These are all on newest drivers, Win7 since its also my gaming rig. I think i'd be able to hit the 32Mh/s mark if I had cooler temps in the house, but that would just mean me skyrocketing my electric bill (thanks to wall unit A/C).

I'm debating whether to switch to ZCash for a month just to diversify a bit, Eth seems solid but who knows what the future brings. And then there's Litecoin which almost doubled in value overnight...

I settled for 9.2 too with everything else at stock and its stable.

Its been running for like 18 hrs and doing 31 mhs.

I'm running -400 Core, 65% power limit, and +500 MHz. I'm getting 28 @ 67c but don't want to push too hard.

I've had a bit of a video card adventure myself. Sold my 480 + a used 480 I picked up for cheap on craigslist to swap for basically a free 1070 (for mining) + a 1060 for gaming. Just this weekend I sold the 1060 for $270 and ended up with a 1080 that I will not mine on (purchased for $370 new on eBay).
