Well, I built my new comp a little while ago, and stability has been pretty good. However, occasionally in games i crash to desktop(dont know what that means).

Anyway, I decided to run Memtest86 just to see if my RAM is ok, so i ran it overnight, and woke up in the morning with over 16,000 errors(and it still wasnt done!).

Well i stopped it there.

I'd think that i'd have many more problems than i do with such faulty memory.

From the begining of the test to the end it was finding errors, not just in a certain part of the ram.

My ram is Mushkin Level 1, PC3500, which is good ram so I dont know...
 
I had the same problem with games crashing to the desktop. I also ran memtest and got ALOT of errors.

How much RAM do you have?

Either way I would contact tech support and get an RMA.
 
Are you guys running the RAM at default timings? Usually, the default voltage is like 2.5, and the SPD timings for me when using Mushkin RAM was 2.5-2-2-6, and generated hundreds of memtest86 errors. I gave the RAM a bump in voltage to 2.6, and it ran fine. I then changed the timings to 2-2-2-6 and it worked perfectly.
 
My RAM is rated 2-2-2-6 @ 2.6V. I bumped the voltage to both 2.7 and 2.8 and still had errors. I then relaxed my timings to 3-3-3-7 and it still yielded errors @ 2.7v and 2.8v so I just asked for an RMA.
 
Yeah, when it doesn't run at the rated specs in its voltage range, that's kinda bad. At least Mushkin has some awesome customer service, makes me really glad I chose them.

edit: Some mobos, if you use RAM that's rated higher than they're supposed to run (as in, higher than DDR400), have problems reading the SPD correctly, or gives the RAM a lower voltage than it's supposed to. I suggest setting the voltage to 2.6 and see if that'll work.
