Why wouldnt you believe anything from tomshardware ? His site is one of the most trusted hardware review sites on the web and has been around for many years. My favorite and trusted hardware review sites are tomshardware, anandtech, and hardocp

I dont know who gets bashed worse... Tom's Hardware site or that Fatal1ty guy who's had motherboards and video/sound cards named after him. :p

Why would you bash the fatality guy he made money off his handle in a freakin video game I think he cashed in and made out like a bandit whereas whoever paid him got suckered :p

But about bashing, What did Tomshardware do?
How about taking money for reviewing a product? I thought all this was rather well known.

Anyways most recent (atleast from what I've seen) is this joke of a guide and this terribly stupid review. IMO THG makes Attack of the Show look good.

And yeah two of those cards in SLI for the win... and a new PSU.

Tom's had a long history of testing overclocked Pentium chips (without noting that they overclocked them) vs stock AMD.

Also, using known crappy drivers on AMD mobos (back when the memory controller was on the mobo and drivers made a huge difference) vs the latest-and-greatest - and sometimes still beta - Intel drivers.

And let's not forget their famous "server stress test" where they soundly pronounced Intel trouncing AMD for long-term stability...never mind that they fired off the AMD rig once and had to restart the Intel rig test 8 times before it finally outran the AMD rig.

Heck, they even showed bias in video card reviews - they outright refused to review anything from 3dfx, even when they were king of the heap (notice no 3dfx card reviews in their archives?)

Etc, et al.

Basically, Tom's Hardware is one of the biggest f-a-n-b-o-y sites you will find on the net. Possibly only second to how Driverheaven is for ATI.

lol - and I dont suppose other reviewers do the same thing, right?

(if you say no, then I'm afraid you're in for a rude awakening...)

I don't really understand this myself, Zalman and Abit pay for the right to use his name and then he goes out and promotes the product. At the most I'll say that it's annoying to see all this crap with his name on it aimed at "gamers" but honestly it's nothing like what Tom's has done.

I was more of thinking what dderidex posted but that was the first thing that came to mind, I was more suprised someone didn't know about it already.

and/or

B) game at higher resolutions with eye candy like AA/AF and so on.
