This article is from the German side of Tom's Hardware by Igor Wallossek, so need to allow for the translation that was done for the English language site.
Also needs to be seen how many of their reviewers adopt this, or whether it will just be certain senior ones (as an example usually you only see more detailed GPU power analysis from Igor and Chris Angelini).

Anyway here is the article and finally will start to pay more attention to these benchmarks and not just the power/efficiency/envelope related analysis in GPU reviews they were excellent for:
THDE internally: How we measure and evaluate the graphics performance: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/presentmon-performance-directx-opengl-vulkan,4740.html

To emphasise I do not see these replacing HardOCP articles, but more complimentary content and an area Tom's Hardware was lacking IMO.
Cheers

Let's hope their new reviews will be of higher level than the stuff they have been putting up in recent years. There's a lot of variables in play, but I do believe Tom's is aware that the reviews they've been making haven't been received as well as in the past, and this is not only limited to GPU reviews. I say that because they have been hiring some really knowledgeable reviewers who previously worked for sites like X-bit Labs, the guys there used to write the best tech articles (along with [H] of course) during the early 2000's.

Yeah Tom's was only really useful for the power and efficiency performance envelope sections, but reading the linked article they are now on the right path with game benchmarking.

Cheers
