I was at work unloading a truck and I came across a New Egg box with a smashed BFG 7800. I cried like the church lady at a funeral. How sad for the Atlanta native who ordered it..................

but i also though new egg used Fed Ex so I was wondering why it was on the truck in the first place but it had a UPS label.

im guessing they do what me and my BF do. i order the stuff, have it sent to me, and then DHL it to him. I cant remember his address to save my life.

Maybe somebody was sending it back to newegg for an RMA. Maybe that explains why its all busted up lol.
 
nah. the reciever was in ATL. it was addressed to ATL.

i know i wish dell would come up off my card before i cancel this dang order.

the entire box was smashed open. normally we just retape it and send it but i had to mourn for a few minutes. then i retaped it and sent it.

So.....you slap some tape on this bashed up 7800, still wet with tears and then DELIVER IT TO THE GUY..... heartless bitch. First Lowell George and now this....where will it end. Little Feat forever! (trying to tie in the hotlanta stuff, I hope someone out there is old enuf to know Little Feat!!) :D
 
I feel sorry for the guy. He might have saved up for months for that card, then the day finally comes and he sees a smashed open box just like his dreams. Sure the RMA should take care of it, but it's not the same. Life's a bitch and then you die, so fuck the world and let's get high. :D
 
I'll have a drink tonight to mourn the loss of that poor, precious card that never had a chance to grow into an old, obsolete piece of shit. :(

i do not appreciate the name calling. that is totally uncalled for. i did my job. we have to tape boxes and send them damaged or not so that the reciever or the sender can file damage claims. throwing it away would have been worse. what do you want ME to do? take it home and see if I can revive it? HELL NO

i could be wrong here but im almost positive newegg has a warehouse in Atlanta, I am positive they have warehouses in New Jersey and Tennesse, so why not ATL? Took me a week to get my flat panel =( stupid tennesse
 
Nope, no warehouse here, as if they did I would most certainly have to pay sales tax on all my purchases from them, which I do not. Almost all the stuff I have ordered recently from them has come from either Tenn. or NJ.

You should probably spell boyfriend instead of using BF, because most of the gamers on here such as myself think about Battlefield 2 first before thinking of the word boyfriend :D

I'm sorry but this is a funny post IMO. I'm not takign it as name calling, I'm taking it as a playful jab. Still, it is sad that a package like that can be so badly mishandled. At least you were kind enough to realize it's destroyed and tape it up via procedure.

Well for most people now, BF2 is wayyyy to many characters to type, so we just say BF for short. Sad huh? :D

Anyway, I'll take that broken 7800GTX just to make the world's biggest keychain if nobody wants it :)

I apologize if you thought I was calling you names. I was just joking at the situation, not your job. Of course you cant help it. Ive seen alot of your posts and they are all usually very funny. I thought you would "see" that it was a joke. Just like the SISSIES deal on the Dell "gaming" site. Sorry if I was out of line. magoo :D
 
I feel really sorry for the recipiant of that card...he/she is going to be pissed!

I just placed a Newegg order, and it defaulted to UPS. They used to default to Fedex!
