itunes will not play FLAC files, but is there any way to maybe just add a file, or just something that i can do that will allow iTunes to recognize and play a .flac file?

alternatively, is there a music player for the Mac that anyone would recommend over iTunes or for the express purpose of playing .flac files? i do have FooBar2000 on my PC and, well.... it's taken the place of winamp, so i think that says enough. but i still need something for the Mac. thanks.

i've heard VLC can play flac files, but havent tested it myself. if you want to use itunes, you may want to transcode the files to apple lossless. this way they can play on an ipod as well :)

more info could be found here
