So - your going to the beach, to the mountains, to the basement - whereever -
If you can afford the electricity and you have net connection let em' run.
Set up a cron or scheduled task to fire them off in case the net goes down
Run the timeless tinkers - some of them are up to 240 points and are chewy enough for a week, plus they are showing pretty good ppdpghz numbers now.
Turn the AC up and let the heat rise a bit, your not going to suffer
Pack em' all up and take them with you!!
Let's try not to take our big summertime hit while the Aussies heat their houses with dual core heaters!
Just dream of the big point jump when you get back!!
Fold ON!

I second that! And we all know everyone listens to what I have to say...

I'm trying to keep my borgs and my own farm going, with school having let out though, its hard to keep up some systems that were fine before. Too many people still lack always-on internet or turn their computers off at night...'tis really difficult to keep the points race up, at least from a collegiate perspective.

As with everything else though, I will, indeed must, fight on for the [H]orde!

That's why I brought up the TT's - with decent WU sizes and ppghzpd they are almost worthwhile by themseleves. A six pack of 240 pointers should last a week.

I am currently down. Heat was a big issue. My workstation was heating up my room, i cant sleep in this heat. So i am down for awhile till temps are cold again :(

I am poor and don't have AC.

Vacation.... what's that??

Seriously... I'm up 10 CPU's at work but I'm DOWN 3 at home! (one dually 600 running timeless and one 1.7 celly)
The celly is going into my two youngest kids room.... but the dually may be down till fall..... Maybe I can find a circuit in teh house that isn't maxed... I dunno.... :(

BakedON, I'll come put some new circuits in for you. :D

Fold on vacationing slackers!

I need two 15 amp circuits... that's all I ask out of life! :)
One for my ham radio gear and one for my home garden.

Yuck! Peer pressure

We are leaving Monday for 2 weeks on the west coast and had almost convinced myself to shutdown the window box garden.

Now that I have been guilted into leaving them run. I guess I will move 3 to the basement and leave 1 in the computer room on the 2nd floor. I will leave the AMD 1800+ upstairs since I expect it generates the least amount of heat.

Now let's see if they will stay running.

Fold On!

Hmm... this vacationing slacker just got home from a 5 day Vegas trip... I kept wanting to borg the video slots.... but I then realized that those little old ladies and their coin cups would just steal all the cycles.

I wanted to leave the garden run, but unfortunately I got vetoed by the lady in charge (sad I know), but its all back and running now!

When I leave on vaction, yellowstone for 10 days, my boxen will still be producing :D I'm no slacker

I remember trying to get by you months ago. You put up a valiant race and may pass me again.
