In my sister's rig I don't have a video card to use yet (I'm giving her my 9800 PRO when I get my new GPU.) However I do have a spare TNT2 that I could pop in the for the time being. Would this work, or should I just buy a cheapo video card for the time being?
 
Play cs just for the fun 5 fps in aztec :D

Actually a tnt2 isn't so bad for cs if you are playing on some of the maps that didn't have an upgrade in image quality when they updated alot of the default maps in 1.6. Just dont expect anything higher than 8by6 res and even then expect 640by480 at 16 bits.

Overclock that baby and you'll be running fine. My bro was playing CS using a TNT2 until about six months ago.

Was a kick ass card for the time...i bought 2 Viper V770's from compUSSR

it was so funny when my friend i and did benchmarks agaist each other...he had the voodoo card that has 2d/3d on it....damn i can't remember the name...AHHH i just remember Banshee

hehe anyways he got pissed off everytime cause i beat him in every 3d benchmark back in the day and why he was pissed cause he paid 80 dollars more :D was a great time back in the day

oh and yes a TnT works just fine in XP/2K3

thats differnt

I ran Unreal un OpenGL before the damn d3d fix came out...and still ran it in OpenGL after the d3d came out...to me the OpenGL looked better

He must have not had his drivers installed properly
 
The only thing that might be a problem is the agp slot itself ..if newer mobo , it might not let your older video card to be plugged into it ..

I'm surprised nobody has brought this up. If it's a 1x or 2x card, it won't work too good, heh.
