TNT 16 Physical Benchmark

At last i have found my TNT16 and have decided to perform a physical benchmark. The benchmark consistes of fire, gunpowder, cars, and golf. Knowing this test is far to good for any of the newer motherboards this seems like my only choice ( to see how sturdy the TNT 16 really is ). The test pushes four differnt physical features of the TNT.

Here is what this demon looks like

card2.jpg

Test # 1. How much weight can this card handle? I got the car and lined it up with the wheel of her trailblazer.

the card was hardly damaged and the only thing that was broken was the heat sync which fell off.

Conclusion 9/10 for staying intact with a 2500 pound vehicle.

Test #2. How much gun powder can this card take? I started off by completly covering the video card with 100+ Black cats.

Then i got my lighter and let the powder blow. Sorry i could not get a pic of it blowing since i had to run off with about a one second timer and then wait for the camera delay two seconds and then take a pic. That was one of the loudest things i have ever heard. Here is the aftermath.

This card is tough. Not even a notable piece missing after all the chaos.

Conclusion 10/10 not even a match for the gun powder

Test #3. How much fire can a card take before it starts melting? After getting pissed off at the black cats not doing anything i decided to try a few differnt styles of catching it on fire. The first one was to put the card on the grill.

No luck.. Then i tryed to wrap it in tissues and light them on fire.

Conclusion 9/10 The fires did a little but nothing serious the card stood strong through the heat.

Test #4. Ok im pissed me and my friends decide to do it the old fasion way and beat the living chips out of it with hard blunt instruments.

The card begged for mercy but we showed none until he died and even after that we played golf with it.

Then reconstructed it.

Conclusion 1/10 Did'nt even stand a chance with clubs.

Overall 6/10 TNT 16's are a great solution if you are looking to highley indestructable card. Man over machine once again.

Any other suggestions are compliments ( critizim ) are greatly encougaged. Other help by "Aleem Sattar ( xyphoid ) and Jeff Chen ( not hard forum member ) Thank You

i had a pretty cool picture of it in the trash but i accidently deleted it

yeah me and zoltan had alot of fun playing around with this card. we are looking to sell this card for about 200 $ + shipping it is great condition no scracthes we will throw in a pair of dice with any order all parts of the TNT16 must go.

anybody got any other ideas on another test i could run? im thinking about tieing it to a bottle rocket and see how far it will fly but i think the card will hold it down.

I found some fireworks. No bottle rockets  must have used them. Just tell me where to put em :)

yeah i was going to do the green catsup ( looked to nasty to eat ) but i couldnt find it

ROFLMAO.. but I think you cheated in them first 3 benchmarks.. See the car is already over the card.. it could have been placed just under the tyre w/ the blur effect on picture.. and then you like showed fireworks with the card just in place.. and then, then you show the burning w/ the card not burning.. fire is besides the card not on the card.. and then, and then..

*Damn I think I need to get out more often.. all in all a wonderful thread*

you destroyed a piece of history...

took the suv much better than I expected.. hahah.

No i did not cheat... I have a few pics of the car running directly under but the shots were extremly blurry and that is the only pic that is legit. I had a pic posted with after they went of... do you actually thing i would skin the fireworks and then half way burn them so they are toasty and put 100 of them around the video card all staggerd and burn cement before i layed the card down... Yes the fire started under the card and if you look close enough there are flames under it... Reason it out before you post but thanks for trying to exploit my genius benchmark ;) .

Ok i found the pic of the card on the other side of the tire and on the other picture it is under the tire but not alot of pressure SHOWN.

Here is a random pic of it in the trash before we started sorry its so blurry

You should have installed it back in a PC after each test where it didn't fail and see if it ran, hehe.

Hehe that is a great idea i just dont know how to piece it together in the AGP slot. Maybe i will try maybe. Sorry cop for speaking like an ass to you i just relized it  .

I just pulled out an old Voodoo 3 and I would love to do some stuff like that to it. I pried off the heatsink last night just for curiosity. This thing used to be the shit back in the day...

You shoulda "modded" those flowers and made flowerbombs. I promise if you tape a couple of those things too it it will do some heavy damage.

By flowers you mean the spinners the pink ones at the bottom? I guess it could possibly one day become a collecters item but who cares the deed is done. and how should i mod it? Like tie them with a shoes lace stuck to the card? I guess i could try it tommorw evening. Anybody got other ideas i could try out?

not that it matters now in the case of your tnt2, but having old cards are good for troubleshooting problemsome boxen or an emergency situation with a dead vid card and a desperate need for pron. although you probably have another backup to use in case of emergency... i just cant let go of all the old crap i payed top dollar for many years ago. i still have ISA cards laying around, and for the .3 cubic feet each one takes up, i cant obliterate a workng card and cry space saving or boredum as justification.

or maybe im just a packrat, i just cant throw stuff out. anyway, kudos to your new benchmark.

what driver did you use for benchmark #1? :D  :)

yea, I'm the same way.
Number Nine Technologies, VLB 2MB 32bit card...

I'm waiting for VESA Local Bus to make a comeback. Its gonna I tell ya!!

It was the 2002 trailblazer microsoft edition benchmark. This card was only good for taking up matter or using it as a door stop. I dont even think it would boot and if i ever needed a boot up card i would goto goodwill and find the TNT 16 in the free stuff for hobos to sleep with section ;)

i still have almost every vid card i ever bought.... i just cant get rid of parts no matter how useless. i think deep down i just aspire to create an extension of the museum of natural history with all my old crap in another 40-50 years.... so schoolchildren can get on the bus and go see even more dinosaurs :)

so schoolchildren can get on the bus and go see even more dinosaurs
