I am using my old Nokia XpressMusic right now because I REFUSE to pay $40 dollars a month for Texting / 3G service and I'm wondering is there any way to get them to lower this?

I don't mean discounts like 10% off with using my American Express, I actually want maybe a $30 EVEN $35 dollar plan but I seriously am drawing the line at paying $40 a month.

Should I just wait for deals or do deals on these even ever come?

Using your XM instead of what pray tell?

Pretty much no. Unless you pick up a part time job at a retailer with an EPP through them or threaten to cancel and get lucky, you're stuck.

You are a customer right? I don't know anything about Nokia XPressMusic and am not a T-Mobile subscriber, so I don't know if that's a T-Mobile thing or not, my apologies.

If you are a long-time T-Mobile customer, you might be able to negotiate a better price with customer retention. YMMV.

I am a long time customer but I start a new plan every year for the rebates. It's a shame because once I was canceling my plan and I told them it was because of the high fees and they told me they can lower it.

Shame I can't cancel this one since I just started this contract.

T-Mobile has some of the cheapest overall plans around. But call their customer service and see what they can work out with you.

Even with my corporate discount I was paying 85 dollars a month on ATT for less than what I have now on T-Mobile for 60 dollars a month with no discount. Granted I do miss some of the better network but oh well.

SERO plans only work with older phones now (they are obviously trying to make the SERO plans obsolete by only letting old phones work with SERO only) how old? idk but i think phones b4 '08 only work with SERO plans, my fiance's brother tried to offload his SERO on us, but we were like, wtf only works with old phones now?

I don't have T-Mobile, never did, but you can ask if they are willing to give you a discount if you were to sign a 2-year contract. Of course that would inhibit you from upgrading every single year on the dot.

When I was with Sprint they gave me a 10%- 14% discount (I don't remember anymore) after I've been with them for a couple of years and signed a new 2-year contract.

T-Mobile (an all other carriers) are not likely to give a "direct cut" to the monthly charge because the service fees (voice, text, data, etc...) are all standard charges in their systems and everyone gets hit by them. Therefore, if they give you a reduced monthly invoice, then they apply a discount to your account.
