Ok so i have a tj09 and a silverstone strider 750w.
I've had two of these psu in the last year with faulty fans.
Now, in the tj09 you can have the psu facing downwards, sucking in cold air from outside the case. Or, you can have it facing upwards.
The first psu i had facing downwards until i could hear the fan rattling, so i flipped it over to lessen the noise.
The new psu i received, after the rma, i had facing downwards but decided to eventually flip it over. After listening closely, this fan is also rattling.
So today I called silverstone to see if i could get an advanced rma and the guy told me,"having the psu face downwards puts more pressure on the fan bearings."
Is this true that the psu fan can go bad from having it face downwards? Has anyone with a tj09 experienced this problem?
I dont see why, almost every, silverstone case offers the choice to have the psu facing out of the case if it will damage the psu fan.
