Just looking for some suggestions. I am about to install my new conroe system as soon as the new 8800s come out and was reading up on these two cases. It looks like these are the top two cases around. Currently I have a P180 watercooled and a P160. I am not planning on watercooling this new PC but you never know, we will see what temps I get and how much noise it makes.

Basically I am just looking for a roomy case that is top notch. I figured I cant loose either way with these two cases, was just looking for some input.
 
They're bot very nice cases, but my vote goes to the TJ09 since there are just so many ways to water cool that case. Once you got water... you don't go back!
 
TJ-09 is actually less good than the TJ-07.
The silverstone TJ-07 is thought to probably be one of the best cases ever made in the history of the planet, it is also perfect for watercooling due to fan slots etc.

It is bigger (7x5.25), way prettier (it has one huge piece of aluminium for the top bottom and front, bent perfectly in the same machine for making cars), has two 120mm fans on the side for hard drive cooling, two 92mm fans on the back, and 2 more 120mm fans on the top, however it is one of the quietest cases around as they all spin so slowly.

That was like reading an ad. :p

I would go for the tj-09 personally. It's a little more expensive, but I think it's well worth it. On the other hand, I think the difference between the tj-09 and tj-07 doesn't justify the price increase.
 
I'd go with the TJ09 over the 07 ANY day. just ask Slartibartfast and he'll tell you the horrors of the 07.

Also, straight edged sharp design >>>>>> rounded ugly-ass design. Sorry, but the 07 is ugly.
 
I have used about 6x TJ09 cases and I love them. They are great great great cases.

Also as mentioned above they are great for watercooling!

TJ07 is 220 mm (W) x 560 mm (H) x 565 mm (D).

TJ09 is 210 mm (W) x 525 mm (H) x 605 mm (D).

I wouldn't call that much less roomy.

At Performancepc the TJ09 is $20 cheaper than the TJ07.
 
Is there anyway to fit a tripple rad in a TJ09? Doesn't really look like it. I know that you can fit a tripple in the TJ07.
 
I vote for the G70 because I like the looks better. I haven't dealt with either case though, so I don't know any pros or cons.
 
You guys do know he is talking about the Silverstone TJ-09 vs the Lian-Li G70 -- Right?

(Referring to those who keep talking about the TJ-07)
 
No TJ09 in stock so I think I might just get the G70. I know I can put a 120.3 rad in the top.
 
I couldn't wait any longer so went ahead and got the watercooled edition of the G70 from Perfomance-PC. Added casters, fillport, resevoir, and handles. I wanted a thermochill 120.3 rad anyways.
