Thinking about going with this case but it seems like 2x120mms exhausting out the top and a 120 exhausting out the back, plus the PSU exhausting, and only one intake fan, that the airflow might be a little imbalanced. I remember when I got my Lian-Li a few years ago I did some testing and somewhat confirmed my suspicions that too much exhaust and not enough intake isn't ideal for cooling, possibly because of a slight negative pressure inside the case. But it was just one test so maybe I'm wrong.

I guess I can always add one or two side intakes if it seems like temps aren't as good as they could be, but I wanted to see what others experiences are.

Any other case recommendations? Anything hot coming out soon?

I'm thinking about the 07 also, but I really like the side intakes on the 09 and the fact that the USB/Audio is on top instead of on the bottom, it seems pretty silly to put it on the bottom of a case as big as the 07, almost everyone is gonna be putting that monster on the floor it would seem like.

I kind of like Zalmans Fatal1ty but it seems a little overpriced, like you're paying more for the marketing and less for design/materials.
 
I agree with you. I have heard of people using the top two blow holes as intake fans as blow holes really don't do a whole lot anyhow. Or you can use one as exhuast and one as an intake.
 
Cases like this bug me as well, lots of exhausts, but little intakes. Seems quite counterintuitive to me.
 
Maybe you could have the closer top fan as intake, and the farthest as exhaust. I think the only reason there's 2 is because they're designed for 2 cpus.

I'd be worried about the effectiveness of that, if the exhaust which just be blowing a lot of the fresh intake back out of the case.

Not to forget the intake fan blowing back in the hot air that the exhaust fan just blew out.
 
It all depends on where all those exhaust fans are getting the air from. If its coming in the cracks and going straight back out then there doing nothing, but if the air is coming in from the vents and being pulled over the heated components then out of the case it is ok.
 
The top fans should be used as intakes. Positive pressure in the PC is a good thing, and the case is ventilated with grids on the rear panel so air won't get trapped in there even if you have lots of intakes and just the one rear exhaust.
 
There's also a "grill" at the top back of the case. I ended up putting Yate Loon's in the back, and in both top spots (as exhausts), and an adjustable (up to 100 cfm) ThermalTake fan at the "intake" the lower fan by the hdd enclosure.

Also, don't forget about the intake at the bottom of the case for the PSU, although depending on your PSU this may get covered, or exhausted out that PSU back hole.

i've had my case for about 2months now and noticed that the air being exhausted, along with the grill on my video card was very warm. I had 2 scythe s-flex fans up top as intakes, another for the middle as intake and the factory rear as exhaust.

I reversed the 2 top fans, when i got my coolit eliminator cpu cooler. Being the eliminator has a 90mm fan, i figured it wouldn't exhaust a whole lot of case air, but just the warmth being generated by the cooler itself.

After doing this, i've noticed a def temp change in the grill and air from my vid card. Theres alot of air flow going through the case now.

The air coming in from the top was simply being blown right back out by the rear exhaust fan, cause it was just too close together. It wasn't getting anywhere near the middle of the case, where my vid card was. Though there was the fan directly next to it, it just wasn't enough cause to pressure caused from the 2up top. If anyone follows what i'm saying.

Now that i have a 90mm for the rear, and 2top as exhaust, the middle fan is easily blowing enough air through my entire case.

Top intake fans = dust magnet.

I have a top fan on an old case that is intake, I thought it would be a good idea, but dust just FLOCKS to the top of my case. . . it's insane.
