Hey guys,

So ... Titan Quest. Have you guys played the demo yet ? This game brings back all the memories I had of Diablo 2, all the good with none of the bad. Seriously from one Diablo 2 fan to another ... go download the Titan Quest demo, its great.

Anyone else impressed ?
 
I really dug it too! I have to say that it's a must get. From what I read, there is no PvP..even consentual. One of the charms of Diablo 2 was the ladder/ranking system and of course Battle.Net. While most of my friends got into Evercrack, I got into Diablo 2 and Battlenet was the hook.

Not sure if Titan Quest will have that. There are several of us who are looking to multi-play though if your up for it.
 
Yeah I tried the demo, fun for a while but got a tad repetitive. I'm sure the full version will be better with more missions etc.
 
Yeah definately a diablo feel with superior graphics. I like the change of pace in settings too.
 
I too was really impressed with the demo. Especially the skill system. I think with no pvp, grief players won't be as bad as they were with Diablo 1.
 
Anyone know if there'll be a service like closed Battle.net?

I didn't really like the font they are using and the inventory could use a "sort automatically" function.
And there doesn't seem to be any gore/blood in the game. I just feels weird slashing a satyr with a big sword and not see any blood or anything. I hope this can be modded in somehow later on.
 
Anyone happen to have this demo on their own server? I dont use fileplanet enough to get a subscription. I couldnt tell you the last time I ever used it actually.

worked for me with the free login. Also just checked Fileshack, and they have it too:

With them you get three choices - slow for no username, medium for free username, fast for paid username...your choice.

 
They definitely captured the spirit of Diablo II with this game. Let us all pray that this game has something similar to Battle.net.
 
Online multiplayer will be hosted through gamespy and Xfire. And directIP I imagine.

I think multiplayer will be really fun in this game, but the people who are hoping for closed secure servers like D2 will be disappointed. The developers mentioned having this option in TQ2 if the first one does really well.

I believe cheating will be somewhat common, but not too disruptive since the host can kick players and there is no pvp so no player killers. It makes for fair trade more difficult unless you're part of a legit group or clan.
