Hello. New here. I'm trying to sell/trade my 3930k on another forum since I've only used this account occasionally and don't have enough posts to list it here. I hope I'm not violating any rules.

I'm talking with someone who is offering a 7950 + $$, and I was wondering what the best way to protect myself is. There's all the obvious stuff (delivery confirmation, ship to verified address, document everything, etc.).

If I use Paypal, I might have some protection if I document everything well (I know there's a good chance they'll screw me anyways), but if I trade item for item, I really don't have any recourse if things go wrong. Would it be a good idea to structure it as 2 sales. My 3930k sold to him for $$, and his 7950 sold to me for $$?

Also, anything I should be aware of when selling to another country, I'm NY and he's Vancouver.

This is my first time trying to sell stuff, and neither one of us really has any rep or heatware. Thanks for the advice!

To be honest, check if he has A LOT of Heatware, a lot of people take advantage of new members and scam them since it's so easy and there isn't a lot of proof or most people wont believe a new member.

If he does have little to no heat, I'd say just walk away from it since it's just to risky to lose that type of processor. If he has a HUGE amount of feedback just check him a bit and you are most likely good.

(Or you can find a local member to do the transaction for you that has a good amount of Heat)

..my 2 cents..
