Tips for first WC loop...Easy draining tips? Drainage systems?

Okay so tomorrow my first water setup arrives (and the mcw60 vga block I ordered today fedex overnight) and I will be poppin my watercooling cherry :D I was reading a review somewhere of some water block and they were mentioning that you can install a "drainage system" to make it easier to drain/purge the system if you need to eventually without dismantling your whole loop. Can anyone tell me what this drainage system is and what it consists of? Im looking for the best way to do this. I'd also like to know where to find one so I can order one and integrate it into my loop. Are they available at the popular e-tailer sites? If so, I can look for myself but if anyone has a quick link they can give me that would be nice.

Also since this will be my first loop I will setting up tomorrow does anyone have any noob tips they can give me? Things that they learned the hard way or just simple things to watch out for/make sure to do or anything that can make things easier for me in the long run etc etc. Any suggestions would be great, i've researched alot and know the gist of things so im not a total retard when it comes to this stuff but im also not a pro at it just yet either. So dont hesitate to suggest something you think I may already know, because I may not :p !
So anyway welcome a new WC junkie! Ive always wanted to do WC but never had the time/energy to research and invest the time/money into it, I always thought it looked overwhelming until I really took the time to learn it. Im sure it will look overwhelming a lil' bit tomorrow when I break out all the peices n get ready to set everything up but I feel confident ill make it through, leak free hopefully!

Most drainage systems are just a valve at the lowest point of the system (on a T) that you can open to let the water out. I've read about people using a T-line for filling that put the T at the lowest point and run the tubing up to the top for normal "fill" mode. When they want to drain, they move the tubing so the end is below the T. That way they only need 1 T.
 
I don't know of a lot of people that use a dedicated drain system in their WC loop. If you've got the space, it's a great idea, but that's usually the problem--space. Personally I don't think it's worth it. I've rebuilt my loop a couple of times and the way I ususally drain it is to use come 3/8" tubing to siphon my coolant out of my res, then I usually undue the highest hose in the system (after removing the mobo tray of course! ;) ) and just continue doing that until the system is empty.

It's certainly not as neat and clean as having a dedicated drain system, but I just don't have the space for that.
 
this is one of the ideas i will be implmenting in my system :)

as part of the wc setup will be running through 20mm od copper pipe i will have a tline system built into a fillport at the top of the case with a fillport res :)

then at the bottom of the case i will be mounting another t onto some of the copper for a 12mm od copper pipe drain system with a ballvalve that will go the base of the back of the pc with a barb on it so i can drain into a bucket or something

wont really take that much space in the system and it will be off the main pipe system so it wont have issues with the thinner pipe

the other benefit of this is that it can simplfy the filling procedure

connect a tube onto the barb at the base and remove fillport cap

make sure the tube on the drain barb is higher then the fillport top

fill system
close ball valve when full or almost
drain fluid in tube back into the container with fluid

top up via fillport with res
 
Yeah I think I will just add a T to the lowest point like taqueso was saying. It seems easy and it will let me drain easily. Unfortunately I dont have a removable mobo tray so I'd be afraid that it would be too hard to drain it without a drainage system. I have space to set one up so I think I will.
