OK so this is my first post on my new PC; rolling on a Q6600 G0, Anyways according to the MoBo and SpeedFan, my temps are between 25-30. Now I went into teh BIOS and raised my FSB to 333, and now I have my CPU at 3GHz. The only thing is that my memory is rated at 6-6-6-18 2T timing... Although it is supposed to be 4-4-4-15.

Now I dont know how to change these timings, the BIOS is so confusing there are like 600 different types of timings in there, and I tried playing around with them alittle at first, but when I saved and exited it didn't post, so I cleared CMOS, and decided to ask on the forums.

Som eextra information, I don't know if this makes a difference or not, but I made the FSB:DRAM 1:1.

My memory is OCZ reaper HPC btw...

You should have a look at the specifications for the RAM; maybe it's this? But best to check.

This memory is rated at 2.1V, so you'd need to find the DRAM voltage control in the BIOS and set that to 2.1V (again, check yours). The timings are:
CAS Latency (CL): 4
RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 4
RAS Precharge (tRP): 4
Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 15

Leave all the others at Auto.

However, I can't advise you how to find these settings in your BIOS, as I don't know what you have or where it would be anyway. Your memory might work at a lower voltage and/or at better timings since you're probably running it below its rated speed at the moment (you're using it at ~667MHz), but if you decide to make any changes from the 4-4-4-15 spec, make sure you run a program to test the memory afterwards in case it causes problems.

oh ok thanks, yeah I got it. All I needed to know was which timings werre which. LoL the funny thing is now I know why it didn't post the first time, because I had it on 4-4-4-4

LoL! and then I put the 6th one as 15...

so yeah now that I got it all figured out, I changed the voltage to 2.1v/

So I'm running stable at 3GHz right now, but the thing is I'm not sure how reliable speedfan's readings are. It says my CPU is idling at around 20C!! Maybe thats because of the speedstep enabled? but during prime 95 it does get all the way up to 47C.

Is that the Speedfan 'CPU' temperature? If so, it's a different measurement to the core temperatures, which people usually quote. I'm not sure whether Speedfan has started being accurate now, but you may want to check with CoreTemp or HWMonitor; Speedfan did at least use to have a problem where it read Q6600 cores as -15C from their correct temperature (although the 'CPU' reading is correct).
