Timedemos not working for doom 3

I try running the timedemos, commands are like timedemo 1 or 3 right? something like that. Either way says it can't and goes back to the main menu. What's the deal?
 
add usecache at the end of that..

ie: "timedemo demo1 usecache"

minus the quotes of course.

So it loads all of the textures and stuff into the memory so it doesn't thrash your hard drive while benchmarking.
