My computer has just recently been passing time faster then normal. In 6 minutes the clock changed by around 12 minutes. I have norton running, so i assume its nothing virus related (though idk why it would be that anyway)

Relevant System Spec:

Asus a7n8x delux mobo
Athalon XP 2600+
512 pc2100 DDR

If i go to the analog clock display by double clicking on time i can see that the seconds are timed faster, with small pauses every 5 or 6 seconds.

^Not necessairly, its wearing down and causing problems when trying to keep time correctly. Replace your CMOS battery and it should be fine.

I had this problem before, check your CMOS battery to see if it's loose and if it is, just put it back down a little bit. If that doesnt work, replace it.

well, its not kazaa. I'll change my battery wheni get a chance to go to radio shack and get a new one.
