Hey guys,

Welp I'm going to come out and say that I am no where near good at modding, I have very little creativity, and no skills what so ever... so what I'm going to show you are basically some pre-mod installations that will be going into this... First off, the case I am going with:

That is the Thermaltake Tsunami, with a pre-modded window. It's got blue led's on the door of the case, and plenty of room. The room is going to be fantastic because of the fact that I won a brand new Danger Den Maze3 water cooling kit this passed weekend when I was at a 522 person LAN party in Jersey.

One thing that definately caught my eye when I was browsing FrozenCPU were these awesome premodded power supplies, they're black with an internal color of your choice. The key part is that you're able to plug and unplug the power connections at your will if you need to... which I find awesome, and great for keeping the power supply tidy... but I can't decide which one! Do I go with the acryllic one, or the black one? The black one looks more professional and sleek... but I like them both.

Now, another thing that I'm debating on are some water cooling parts, but that's being discussed in that forum. There are two things left that I need:

A new processor, and a new motherboard / memory... I am pretty sure I am going with the Athlon XP 3200+... reason being that if I were to upgrade to the 64, I would have to switch out the water block on the chip, which isn't something I'm too keen on, that's more money that I would have to spend that I really don't want to. So I'm pretty well squared away on that... the other thing I definately need, but have no idea what is compatible with what, or what I should get, is the motherboard for this... I'm itching for some ideas for the motherboard I should get, and the memory that would go with it... I'm looking for something blue, but that's not a necessity, just a preferance...

I haven't had much time in my days to be able to research a new mobo, so you guys think you can give me some ideas?
 
if ur gonna be dropping that much money on stuff and getting a new mobo and proc, u should go to 64bit. and wait for nforce4 and pci express that way your set for a while ;x

if u get sli mobo. you can get 1 6800ultra now and get another one in like 5 months ;)
 
Instead of those PSUs use the Antec NeoPower, I have the exact same case and the NeoPower and I couldn't be happier. The thing is increadibly stable (within 3% of voltage by factory default) and oh so very quiet (Can't tell you exactly but even with the cases fan all turned off, I still couldn't hear it), it is also a modular PSU for better cable handling.
 
How much does the Antec NeoPower cost? Being Antec I would imagine it's going to be somewhat costly...

Well, the reason I'm not going for 64 bit is because I don't want to spend more money on another block if I don't have to... that's the main reason...
 
Mine costed about 130 smackers but if you can't get it, the 480 TruePower is the next best thing from them.
 
Never buy a PSU based on how it looks ;)


get a good one then mod it if you like
