Time to Pull the Trigger on a New E6600

I've been trying to be patient and find a deal on an e6600 and 8800gtx, but nothing has turned up lately. Is there any reason not to pull the trigger anyhow - upcoming price drops or anything? Anyone know how the overclocks have been from recent newegg orders? I'm going lcs, so I hope to get a decent overclocker.
 
New G8X card rollouts 8X00 GS/GT/GTS

That has me waiiting to pull the trigger on a vid upgrade.
