i currently have an Antec 300W PSU thats running:

AMD 2400+ XP @ 2.2Ghz (200x11v -- 1.775V) (Prime95 stable 10hrs)
Thermaltake Silent Boost HSF
Mushkin pc3200 512mb (2.5-3-3-7)
Radeon 9800 Pro Stock
30GB and 80GB hard drives
Lite On CD Burner
DVD ROM
5 fans

lately my games have been crashing so I assume it cant handle the CPU and 9800 anymore... am I right?

what minimum wattage would I need for this?
 
Absolutely. My 9800 pro led me to replacing my crappy Deer 400W PSU.
