Very shortly I'm gonna be in the market for a new video card. Right now my system is comprised of an AMD AthlonXP 2200+ [1803mhz], 768MB PC2100 DDR Crucial Memory, Geforce4 Ti4400...thats pretty much all of the important specs of it. Anyhow my GF4 seems to be getting a little old now and I've decided its time to upgrade. I want a better experience with Half Life 2, Need for Speed Underground 2, Farcry, etc. I was eyeing a Geforce 6600GT over at newegg for like $179. I would spend more but I feel like i REALLY need a newer CPU at least a XP 2800+ or a 64 3000+, then id need to buy a new motherboard and RAM too. If I don't need a new CPU I would buy a 6800NU or non GT. What do you guys think? Is my 1.8ghz too slow? and what about video options?

ur cpu shoulkd be fine but ur ram another story.. also newegg doesn't have an AGP 6600gt for that price.. u might've looked at the 6600gt for pci express..... the AGP one cost around 235 at newegg for an agp version... so u might as well grab a 6800nu for anything above 200$.....
