Time for another computer...suggestions?

Ok, I am trying to decide if I should throw together another box. It will be a gaming box. I am looking to spend 1100$ tops.

Here is what I have come up with so far:
EP-8RDA3+
Amd Mobile 2500+
Saphire x800
Antec True power 550
1gb of corsair value select(dual channel kit)
WD raptor 36.7gb
Thermalright slk900a heat sink

I am thinking the video card and power supply might be a bit overkill.

I was thinking maybe get a 9800xt and an antec 430 or 480.

I plan to do some overclocking on the processor and I am aiming to get 2.5ghz from it.

How does it look? Anything else I should consider?
 
One thing to consider, when you are building a computer, it's probably NOT gonna be a laptop, so ditch the mobile processor. Get something like an Athlon XP of some sort, or, if you can afford it, Athlon 64, and get a motherboard that is the right socket for it to match. The processor won't support Dual Channel (neither would the mobile), so, get a one strip of 1GB of RAM for about the same price. Then, the 36.7 GB Raptors are notable for problems, so, get the 74 GB Raptor, or, if you can afford it, get two, in a RAID 0 Array. Everything else looks fine, and that should get you a pretty nice, low budget, but higher end gaming system, that should last you for quite a while...

The mobiles are great for OCing. They run on low voltage, so if you boost the vcore up to normal Athlon levels or a bit higher you can get tons of speed out of 'em. Plus unlike the Athlon XP chips they're unlocked so you can change the multiplier.
 
Blananar - just because the processor doesn't support dual channel doesn't mean you should just get a gigabyte DIMM. A Corsair value 1 GB DIMM is about $275 on Newegg right now, but 2 x 512 is about $170. Really unnecessary to get 1 GB DIMMs unless you were actually planning to use 2 GB or more.

Also, RAID 0 is a bad idea. It increases the chances of data loss if a drive in the array goes down, and doesn't really net you a performance boost. Storagereview.com went over these points.

The mobile Athlon XP Bartons are great OCers.

The system looks good sc0tty8, though I do think getting an Athlon 64 would be a good choice if this is mainly for gaming. Also, I'd recommend the Nvidia Geforce 6800 GT at this current time - it still has 16 pipelines compared to the X800 Pro's 12 pipelines (your x800 listed is the X800 Pro right?), and it's the same price.

Plus: any reason for the 550 watt TruePower PSU?

If you don't need such high end graphics, I would say get a Radeon 9800 Pro, or find a 9800 XT for cheap. I'm still waiting for these $300 new generation vid cards.
